Help us Win a Playground Makeover

Thanks to all your votes and hardwork, we’ve been shortlisted in the Wicksteed Playscapes Facebook competition, and have the chance of winning a £25,000 playground makeover.

After 16 years Cardiff Steiner School have finally got our own home but, with funds all spent on essential building repairs, our playground remains a concrete jungle. Our wonderful children love to play, and by entering the competition we hope to finally give them the inspiring space they deserve.

In the intial stage schools uploaded a photograph of their playground along with 20 words saying why their school should win the competition. With 663 votes, we came 5th out of 116 schools of all sizes from across the UK and Republic of Ireland. An amazing feat, especially as we were one of the smallest schools on there.

The Wicksteed judges will be visiting us on 29 January, along with the other 9 schools on the shortlist,  in order to choose the winner. Wish us luck!
