Class 9/10 Charity Big Run
14 Jun 2021
Our AMAZING Class 9/10 are doing a charity run on 1 July to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. They’ve each set themselves individual challenging targets ranging from 2K in 15 mins to 20K in 1 hour 10 mins. After researching and presenting on different charities they overwhelmingly voted on raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Some have personal experiences that have contributed to this decision and all can appreciate the impact of the weight of a diagnosis of cancer in your teens. Can you support them to reach their target? Find out more below…
We are finishing our School year with a sponsored run. This is an initiative that began in lockdown with a challenge to run a mile from our front doors a couple of times a week. This grew into an idea to run in the Cardiff Bay 10K or the Cardiff Bay Fun Run in May. In the event this was cancelled, yes, Covid again, so we decided to do our own sponsored run. After a process of investigation and discussion we voted to donate to the charity Teenage Cancer Trust.
The run will take place on 1 July at 2.00pm around Hailey Park. Each member of the Class has pledged to run a distance between 2K and 20K, according to their own experience and capacity, and detailed a target run time.
The Class have set up a Just Giving page to make donations simple. If you want to give by other means you can do this by cash or cheque to the office at School. Please make cheques out to “Teenage Cancer Trust.”
You can come along on the day and cheer us on too.
Many thanks,
Aishah, Chloe, Charley, Clarissa, Dee, Finn, Hamza, Jade, Mascha, Math, Noor, Rohan, Sam, Samuel, Yidan (Class 9/10)
