School Taster Mornings

Wondering whether Steiner Education is right for your child? Sample a School morning with your 6 to 12 year old, and find out what you could expect as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.

Friendly, informative mornings for children and parents thinking about joining our School.

• Tues 3 July – for children aged 8 to 10 by Sep (Class 3/4)
• Fri 6 July – for children aged 6 and 7 by Sep (for Class 1/2)
• Tues 23 July – for children aged 10 to 12 (for a potential Class 5/6)

Your child will join a two hour lesson with Pankaj Sulodia and Leila Abuhilal our Class 1/2 and Class 3/4 Teachers.  They’ll experience the rich multisensory approach of a Steiner Main Lesson as they paint, draw, move, listen, imagine and sound out – all ways to engage different learning styles. Pankaj and Leila will use material from across the curriculum to convey the rhythm of a lesson, and the balance of artistic, practical and intellectual content.

Please arrive at 9.15am. The children’s lesson will last around 2 hours from 9.30 to 11.30/12pm, with an outside break in the middle. Parents can stay quietly in the next room where they will be able to listen to and peek unobtrusively at what’s taking place. There’s the chance to meet other parents and talk to Pankaj and Leila after the lesson until 1.00pm.

Your child can attend without an adult, but please let us know in advance if this is the case. Children attending should be aged 6 to 12 by 1st September 2012.

Entry is free but must be booked in advance. Snacks and drinks are provided for both adults and children.
