Fairs
Fundraising is fundamental to our existence and our fairs are our ‘BIG 3’ annual fundraiser events. Parents get totally involved and everyone contributes their ideas and skills.
Christmas Fair
Parents and teachers craft produce to sell, donate raffle prizes, and run the stalls, activities and café on the day. The Christmas Fair is a festive day out for all the family. You can make crafts, find Christmas gifts, listen to carols, and enjoy the spirit of the season, with story-telling, puppet shows, hand-crafted toys, and the renowned Winter Feast: a delicious buffet of home-made food, cakes and hot soup.
Summer Fair and Midsummer Fire
The big Summer Fair is our main fundraising event of the year. Parents and teachers craft produce to sell, donate raffle prizes, and run the stalls, activities and café on the day. It’s a beautiful day for the entire family with music, games, storytelling and children’s activities; the big raffle, hand crafted toys and gifts; and of course the renowned Café with delicious home-made cakes and food. Midsummer is the longest day in the year, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky. Long ago in Wales, people would light bonfires to strengthen the sun and to encourage it to shine. Nowadays we celebrate the sun with fire, songs and stories around our Midsummer Fire to mark the turning of the year.
