Premises
Cardiff Steiner School is located in the residential area of Llandaff North. We purchased the building from Cardiff Council after it closed as part of Cardiff’s schools reorganisation, and moved in in February 2013. Our parents and friends were an amazing part of its transformation into Cardiff Steiner School.
It is a beautiful light and spacious Victorian school, the oldest public building in Llandaff North. It is ideally equipped to house our School with space for the Kindergartens and Classes, a large hall for festivals and community events, a kitchen to prepare our children’s homemade organic meals, toilets, cloakrooms, offices, and outdoor space.
It has easy access to neighbouring Hailey Park, the Taff Trail and Forest Farm Nature Reserve, allowing the children access to some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in Cardiff. The area is well served by public transport with excellent bus links within Cardiff, and Llandaff train station just two streets away. Llandaff North is located close to the A48, A470 and M4 providing good road access in all directions, and the Taff Trail cycle route runs through Hailey Park next to the school.
We also provide space for hire to the local community, for classes, training etc.
We are lucky to be located in such a strong local community with a longstanding sense of responsibility and love for the building. Residents ran a successful campaign to save the building from possible demolition prior to our purchase, and we are grateful to be a part of this strong and supportive community.
