Wraparound Care is available for all Cardiff Steiner School children from age 3 to 12, and is held at the School, providing a safe, secure and enjoyable extension to the children’s day.
It is run by qualified and experienced Cardiff Steiner School staff, who have a wide experience of working with children, and a warm, calm and engaging presence.
For Class children (age 6 to 12) School Hours are 9.00 to 3.30 with the option of Breakfast Club 8.00 to 9.00 and After School Club 3.30 to 4.30 or 6.00.
For Kindergarten children (age 3 to 6) the Kindergarten morning is 9.00-1.00 with the options of Breakfast Club 8.00 to 9.00, Afternoon Care from 1.00 to 3.30, and After School Club from 3.30 to 4.30 or 6.00.
Sessions can be booked on a Regular or Drop-In basis, as needed.
Breakfast Club 8.00-9.00 (age 3 to 12)
Breakfast Club welcomes children with a nourishing breakfast and provides a homely, caring environment until Kindergarten or Classes start. We offer rice milk and full fat dairy milk if preferred.
Kindergarten Afternoon Care (age 3 to 6) 1.00-3.30
Afternoon Care children eat a healthy, freshly cooked lunch together, before enjoying a quieter afternoon of rest, and indoor and outside play. A whole day away from home can be a long time for your child, especially younger ones. We bring rhythm and security in sessions that are less structured and more like home.
After School Club (age 3 to 12) 3.30-4.30 or 6.00
After School Club serves the families of our School by offering a warm, caring, play-filled after-school experience. Children can unwind, eat good food, play outdoors, and build new skills in a relaxed way.
Rather than provide a whirlwind of activities, our focus is to foster children’s ability to create their own play and fun. We offer a balance of quiet indoor time, creative activities and indoor and outdoor games in a warm, homely and nurturing environment.
Finally, given the distances many children travel to our School, After School Club provides an opportunity for friendships to flourish outside the classroom and across the ages.
Pricing
Breakfast Club:
*£4.30 per day for weekly sessions booked half termly in advance, or £6.50 for a Drop In session.
Afternoon Care for Kindergarten children:

3.30-4.30 *£5.83 per day for weekly sessions booked half termly in advance, or £9.00 for a Drop In session.
3.30-6.00 *£11.66 per day for weekly sessions booked half termly in advance, or £18.00 for a Drop In session
Breakfast Club and Afternoon Care and After School Club fees qualify for the Tax Free Childcare, Childcare Tax Credits, the Childcare Offer for Wale and Employee Childcare Vouchers where applicable.
*Fees are charged termly so the equivalent daily rate depends on the numbers of day that term.
